Yoga Peace Kula is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) that believes the physical, mental, and emotional benefits of yoga and mindfulness are available to all, regardless of financial circumstances, gender, age, backgrounds, challenges, andtalents. As a non-profit yoga studio, they raise funds and receive donations, that enable us to provide scholarships for a studentin need to take classes and training. 

Yoga Peace Kula`s team of mindfulness educators has well over 50 combined years of experience in NJ public schools. They are NJ certified teachers & school counselors, as well as leading mindfulness educators that have developed mindfulness curriculum and lead Professional Development in schools and at national conferences.

BBBSMMC provides one-to-one mentoring for youth ages 6-18 through our Community Based, School-Based, Workplace, College, and Back on Track Programs. By placing children in a quality mentoring relationship, they are able to provide them with the tools they need to become competent, confident, and caring members of their community. 

BBBSMMC partner with parents/guardians, volunteers, and others in the community and hold ourselves accountable for each child in our program achieving: 

  • Higher aspirations, greater confidence, and better relationships 

  • Avoidance of risky behaviors 

  • Educational Success 

Big Brothers Big Sisters is a donor-supported, volunteer agency and an independent 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with its own audited financial statement. Funding comes from community support through individual gifts, grants, and special events.

Effective communicators are in high demand, especially in the ever-changing social and digital media landscape. Monmouth University’s 30-credit Master of Arts in Communication provides an in-depth, inspired understanding of how information, media, and organizations intersect within our global society. 

Through classes and seminars, students will learn how to address real-world challenges in public relations; interactive and digital media; public service and community relations; and organizational communication. Monmouth offers two concentrations and two certificates:

  • Interactive Digital Media Concentration 

  • Strategic Public Relations & Social Media Concentration 

  • Public Service Communication Certificate  

  • Human Resources Management & Communication Certificate

Redeem Her is a not for profit 501(c) 3 organization. Redeem her offers help and hope to women reentering the community from rehabilitation facilities, jails, andprisons. They provide housing, clothing, food, employment and most importantly supporting women who have shared similar experiences.  

 

Redeem Her is guided by the following principals:

  • We believe every woman, regardless of her past, can be redeemed  

  • We believe no one stays free alone. Mentoring from women who have shared common experiences (addiction or incarceration) has the power to change lives.  

  • We believe success is possible when a woman surrenders and accepts support   

We believe when a woman becomes healthy- spiritually, emotionally, physically and economically- the whole community benefits

Film One Fest

FilmOneFest (a production of the Atlantic Highlands Arts Council) is the Jersey Shore’s preeminent showcase for all forms of short films under two minutes in  length. The festival is a free, summertime seaside screening in the town of Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey.  Its goal is to raise awareness of the arts, as well as the community of Atlantic Highlands. FilmOneFest also promotes local and international filmmaking through the use of new media and technology, educational activities and screenings, and supports its local food bank.

 

The Atlantic Highlands Arts Council is comprised of a team of dedicated volunteers who include professional artists, educators, business leaders and community organizers. We are a volunteer, non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization whose mission is to strengthen community through the arts. Our primary function is to develop and execute events and arts related activities for the benefit of our community.
